Hace unos meses apareció EPIC 2014, un genial ejercicio multimedia de prospección que predecía para el 2014 la desaparición del New York Times a favor de Googlezon y su sistema EPIC:
The ‘Evolving Personalized Information Construct’ is the system by which our sprawling, chaotic mediascape is filtered, ordered and delivered. Everyone contributes now – from blog entries, to phone-cam images, to video reports, to full investigations. Many people get paid too – a tiny cut of Googlezon’s immense advertising revenue, proportional to the popularity of their contributions.
En 2006 aparece Newsvine, mezclando conceptos de Google News, Del.icio.us o Digg:
Welcome to the Newsvine collective. A place where anyone can read, write, and influence the news.
If you're just into reading, you'll find thousands of Associated Press articles posted and indexed faster than any site on the web. If you'd like to discuss the news, you'll find places to chat and comment within every article. If you'd like to write your own column - and collect ad revenue from it - Newsvine will publish ir for you. And finally, if you'd like to create your own public trail of interesting stories you've read around the web, seeding Newsvine is for you.
